Dexter, the TV series-phenomenon, returns with 10 fresh episodes.
As announced by Showtime, will premiere in the fall of 2021, with the news having made many satisfied enough.
Because Dexter remains one of the most beloved killers of the small screen, even if it seems a bit oxymoronic. "Beloved" and "killer" are two words that you would hardly put together in a sentence.
It is even more contradictory to put concepts such as "good" and "killer" side by side. And yet, this seems to have been in the minds of some of Brazil's most notorious serial killer.
A highly productive serial killer that remains unique in terms of action. You see Pedro Rodrigues Filho only killed criminals. And such was his father, meeting the same fatal fate at the hands of his son.
Filho is not exactly Dexter, but he is as close as ever reality in fiction.
He was indeed christened a "good serial killer" by some Brazilian media, despite the fact that he "ate" at least 70 people. Many even wondered what would happen if you put a man who likes to kill criminals in a place where he would be surrounded by such people?
Filho responded with his actions: he killed at least 40 other inmates behind bars!
Pedro Rodrigues Filho has been officially charged with at least 70 murders, although police suspect he has killed more than 100 people.
In fact, he killed his first victim at the tender age of 14. "Pedrinho Matador", as he is called in Brazil, is believed to have killed 10 people before he was even 18 years old.
He always thought he was performing justice, his own sense of justice at least. His first victims included the deputy mayor of his city, who had fired his father.
As for Filho's own father, he once slaughtered his mother with a kitchen knife. The son sought revenge: he killed him in prison, uprooted his heart and ate it.

Born in 1954 on her farm Brazilian In Minas Gerais, Filho met the ugly face of life before he was even born. His father beat his mother so badly, even when she was pregnant, that the little one was born with bruises and permanent deformities in the skull.
As he once stated, the first impulse he felt for murder came at the age of 13, in a fight with a cousin of his age. She pushed him hard and the little one almost lost his life. The scene filled the teenager Filho with joy.
At the age of 14, in 1968, he actually committed his first murder. He took his grandfather's rifle and went to find the deputy mayor who had fired his father, a school guard, accusing him of stealing food from the school kitchen.
The little one actually found him in front of the town hall and shot him dead in public. When he learned that it was a colleague of his father who stole the food, he went, found him and killed him too.
But now he was a criminal, and so he fled. His traces were lost in the wider area of metropolitan Sao Paulo, where he turned into a self-imposed punishment. He set up a cartridge in drug traffickershe killed them, then robbed them of their spoils.
For a while he lived as a regular criminal. He ousted a drug dealer and took over his "business", committing robberies and clearing accounts with rival gangs.
This season was the best period of his life, as he confessed in a TV interview on the Brazilian network R7. He fell in love with a girl, Maria Aparecida Olympia, and they lived together for a short time.
He revealed that the girl became pregnant with his child, but aborted. And finally she was killed by members of an opposing spiral.
Her death sparked an unprecedented criminal frenzy. "Perfect psychopath" called him in his trial, years later, the psychiatrist who made the expertise. Filho never targeted ordinary everyday people, despite bad elements. And those who had hurt him.
Now he was looking for the killers of his girlfriend and killed many gang members, torturing some mercilessly. At one point he learned that the boss of a drug trafficking ring was responsible for Maria's murder. His wife betrayed him.
Filho and 4 of his bravos found him at a wedding. They left behind 7 dead and 16 wounded. He had not even turned 18…
Next goal for Filho, the thirst for revenge. Now the target would be his father, the same man for whose sake he had committed his first murder. The always violent father had finally killed his mother with 21 knives and was imprisoned.
The son went and found him on a visit. She stabbed him 22 times. And then he uprooted his heart and ate it. This was stated by Filho in the same TV interview, without telling us how he managed to escape the patricide in prison.
Pedrinho Matador was arrested in May 1973. He would spend his entire adult life behind bars. Showing from the first moment his moods for the criminals that surrounded him.
According to police, they put him in a van with two other perpetrators to take them to court. One of them was a rapist. When they opened the doors despite the fact that they were all wearing them handcuffs, the rapist was dead.
Filho proudly confessed to his crime. "But he was a rapist," he told embarrassed police.
Despite being sentenced to 126 years in prison for the murder of 71 people, Brazil's penal system provides for a maximum sentence of 30 years.

Now he was surrounded by convicts, something that was as much butter as the bread of his criminal rage. According to other food testimonies, he killed those he thought even prison was not a real punishment for their crimes.
In an interview from inside the cell, he stated that he drew "joy and emotion" from the murder of other criminals. Preferred method, the knife.
According to his captives, it was a real phenomenon of survival in the ruthless conditions of the Brazilian penitentiary system. His attacks targeted the prison gangs, one of his most notorious prisons Sao Paulo, bringing even more violence and murder.

Filho eventually spent 34 years in prison and was released in April 2007. He moved to northeastern Brazil and was housed with a former convict who began keeping mail in prison.
