Amazon with its new service guarantees absolute security in the delivery of your orders, even when you are away from home
Amazon Key is a new service with which the carriers of the internet giant can ξε "unlock" your home in order for your order to reach your hands for sure.
Undoubtedly, this is a pioneering service that at first glance raises questions about security and trust, but Amazon is absolutely reassuring: There is no risk.
This is a set of tools that completely secures the transactions with the company. Among other things, it includes a special internal security camera and "smart" locks, at a cost of $ 249,99.
In practice, when the company's carriers arrive at a house to deliver an order and no one "answers", instead of leaving the parcel at the door, they will leave it inside the recipient's house, using the Amazon Key and… "unlocking" the house themselves.
Amazon assures you that all the necessary checks will be performed to make sure the right person delivers the right parcel to the right home. The transport will enter the house only after the checks have been completed and the security circuit will record all its movements as soon as it enters it. The company assures that distributors will have absolutely no access to the security codes of each house.
"We do not treat it as an experiment," a senior Amazon executive told Reuters, adding that the company wanted to go one step further in the best possible delivery experience.
According to him, the first tests proved that the risk of theft is practically non-existent and that there will be full coverage to customers in any eventuality.
The service will be available from November 8 initially in only a few US cities and to the company's prime customers.
