Fortnite, the company that launches the popular children's video game Fortnite, has stopped advertising on YouTube amid concerns following comments from pedophiles.

Epic Games has confirmed that it withdrew its ads in a similar move to Nestle, which has been accused of employing child slaves to produce its products.

According to the British Guardian, the company's videos are not considered "problematic". However, the problem starts with users' comments, as it was observed that strangers wrote provocative messages giving instructions on where to stop the video, so that they have the desired images of children, for example when girls were seen exercising or other children doing chores at home with their family.

Because the platform algorithm has been created to offer users videos based on their interests and choices, comments from pedophiles have been on the rise.

A YouTube spokesman commented on Epic Games' decision, stressing that the platform's policy is to ban any content, including comments, that endangers minors is considered unacceptable.

"We take immediate action by deleting accounts and channels, reporting any illegal activity and disabling the ability to comment on tens of millions of videos containing minors. "There are others that need to be done and we continue to work to improve our services and detect such incidents as quickly as possible."

A "plague" game

However, this online game has been considered a "scourge", as it pushes teenagers or even the youngest players, to violence and sex! However, it is the most popular game in the world, for one simple reason. Children are stuck in front of the screen for hours and parents have the time to do whatever they want, without wasting their time playing games or entertaining minors.

This tactic, however, has disastrous consequences. Because the incitement of young people to violence and sex is, as it turns out, the first step of danger. The second carries much greater risks, as children have the opportunity to come into contact, through play and for the needs of the game, with people who… have other purposes.

According to the global service that monitors the internet and behaviors within this virtual world, more than 20 cases of sexually abused children are associated with Fortnite.

The other dimension of Fortnite, which is quite common in Greece and especially in children who are still in primary school and especially in boys, was revealed in the case of a man from Florida in the United States, who was located, arrested and charged with sexual assault. abuse of a 17-year-old girl, who approached and related to him through the online game.
