The President of the Famagusta Association of Great Britain, Dr. Vassilis Mavrou, said that "we demand that Britain fulfill its obligations to Cyprus as a guarantor with its signature in 1960 when it gave Independence to Cyprus after many years of colonial yoke".
He expressed the full support of the Association to the Government and the President of the Republic of Cyprus, the Speaker of Parliament and all MPs for the efforts made to thwart Turkey's disgusting actions in Famagusta.
In closing, he stated that the Famagusta Association will continue to fight for the return to the city of Evagoras and the handover of Famagusta to its legal residents.
