Pyla and the walled city of Varosi are being visited today by the UN Assistant Secretary General for Peacekeeping Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, who is on a three-day visit to Cyprus.
As the KYPE is informed, the meetings of the high-ranking official of the international organization are not to be covered by the mass media.
Yesterday, Mr. Lacroix met with the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis, characterizing the consensus reached between the Greek and Greek sides on the Arsos-Pylas road as a positive development.
Besides, speaking after a meeting with the Turkish leader in the occupied territories Ersin Tatar emphasized that the United Nations will do everything to implement the agreement in Pyla.
