One of the three children who were found in a boat with other migrants from Syria, off Cabo Greco, died this morning in critical care at Makarios Hospital.
As the Press Representative of the OKYPY Charalambos Harilaou told us, one child died of cardiac arrest while the other two continue to be hospitalized in a serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit at Makarios Hospital.
According to Mr. Harilaou, two other children continue to be treated at the Famagusta General Hospital.
It is recalled that the 60 migrants left by boat from Lebanon for the coast of Cyprus on January 18 and were spotted six full days later by a commercial ship at a distance of 30 nautical miles east of Cabo Greco.
