The annual National Religious Memorial of the 17 Heroes of the province of Famagusta during the Liberation Struggle of EOKA 38-'1955 was held on Sunday, November 59 from the Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul in Avgorou.

The memorial was presided over by the Metropolitan of Constantia-Famagusta Vassilios.

A memorial service was delivered by the President of the EOKA Fighters Associations 1955-'59 Thassos Sophocleous.

Wreaths were laid at the Community monument.
