The Municipality of Sotiras and the Association of Athletes E.O.K.A. 1955 – ΄59 of Famagusta are co-organizing a Pandimo Celebration of the National Anniversaries of March 25 and April 1, on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 7:00 p.m., in the closed hall of the XNUMXrd Sotiras Primary School.
The main speaker at the event will be the distinguished researcher of the national liberation struggle of EOKA. Dr. Petros Papapolyviou, Associate Professor of Modern Greek History.
During the event, the "Star of Merit and Honor" diplomas of the Ministry of National Defense of Greece will be awarded to the fighters of the EOKA. originally from Sotira Famagusta, for their contribution to the struggle for the freedom of Cyprus.
An artistic program by the Sotiras Municipal Choir will follow.
