The swimming of a young Egyptian in Ayia Napa was fatal.
According to the Police, around 6:30 in the afternoon of Wednesday 1/6/2022, information was received about a swimmer without his senses at Nissi Beach.
The 23-year-old was spotted by a citizen floating unconscious in the sea. He was immediately transported to the mainland, while an ambulance was called to the scene to be taken to the Famagusta hospital, where the doctors on duty determined the death of the 23-year-old.
It is noted that the incident occurred after the completion of the lifeguard shift and therefore no lifeguard was on duty at the scene.
The exact causes of his death are expected to be determined by performing the legalized autopsy.
