Almost a tragedy on Thursday afternoon in Cape Greco.
Specifically, at 13:15, the Larnaca KSED received information regarding a 22-year-old woman from Israel, who was injured at the location of Sea Caves in the area of Cape Greco.
As a result, KSED mobilized the Fire Service of Famagusta Station, EMAK and a speedboat of the Port and Maritime Police of Paralimni Station. The woman was pulled out by the Fire Service and transported by speedboat of the L&N Police, accompanied by a nurse, to the Ayia Napa fishing shelter, from where she was handed over to an ambulance of the Ministry of Health, in order to be transported to Famagusta General Hospital.
On the occasion of this incident, KSED calls on the public to respect and comply with safety rules and to avoid entering the sea from rocky areas, especially when adverse weather conditions prevail.
