A 16-year-old tourist who was injured yesterday in the sea area of ​​Cape Greco is being treated in a serious but out of danger condition in the Intensive Care Unit of Makarios Hospital.

According to an announcement of the Search and Rescue Coordination Center (KSED) around 17:30 yesterday afternoon, a 16-year-old man from Finland while on a private boat was found by other passengers, unconscious at sea in the area of ​​Cape Greco.

High-speed inflatable boats from the Port Station of Paralimni and the Municipality of Paralimni went to the scene.

Thanks to the timely intervention and the provision of first aid by the lifeguards of the Municipality of Paralimni, the young man managed to recover.

The young man was then transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Famagusta in an extremely critical condition, however due to the criticality of his condition he was transported to Makarios Hospital in Nicosia.

According to the Police, the young man is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital and his condition is judged by the treating doctors to be serious but out of danger.

The young man was with his mother in Cyprus for holidays and they were staying in a hotel in Ayia Napa.

The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Police Department.
