Cabo Greco: Rescue 69-year-old injured after falling

The Search and Rescue Coordination Center was put on alert at 11 in the morning following information regarding the injury of a 69-year-old man from a fall at the location Thalassines Spilies in the Cape Greco area. 

The lifeguards of the Municipality of Ayia Napa were immediately mobilized and arrived first by jet ski on the scene, the Fire Service of Famagusta Station, EMAK and an ambulance of the Ambulance Service.

A speedboat of the Port and Maritime Police of the Ayia Napa Station, which was patrolling the area, as well as a pedestrian patrol from ADE Famagusta were also called to the spot.

The 69-year-old wounded man was treated by the lifeguards of the Municipality of Ayia Napa and then retrieved with their help and by the rescuers of the Fire Service of Famagusta Station and was delivered to the ambulance, which transported him to the General Hospital A.
