In order to better process civil weddings and further increase them in the new summer season, the Municipality of Ayia Napa presented its wedding product on the evening of Wednesday, May 22 at the Municipal Museum "Thalassa".
The presentation was attended by representatives of travel agents, wedding organizers and representatives of hotel units in the area. Present at the meeting were the Mayor of Ayia Napa Mr. Giannis Karousos, the Municipal Councilor and Chairman of the Committee on Tourism, Development and Objections Mr. Antonis Christou, the Cultural Officer / Head of the Wedding Department Mr. Maria Tofini Tsantila, his Wedding Officers employees of the Office.
Speaking at the event, the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Giannis Karousos, first explained the purpose of the meeting and praised the enormous importance that the Municipality gives to the performance of Civil Weddings.
He also informed about the two important tourist awards that the Municipality recently won in two respective major events that took place in Greece and Cyprus as well as about the new important projects and reference points that will take place in the near future in Ayia Napa such as the Amphitheater, the Submarine Park, the Multidisciplinary Park, etc., in which the Municipality plans to create new wedding venues.
At the end of his speech, the Mayor listened to suggestions and answered questions asked. The event was coordinated by the Director of the Museum "Thalassa" Mr. Fotos Kikillos.
