In the last 5 hours, the Police proceeded with complaints from 2 citizens and 24 premises, after 1.860 inspections carried out throughout Cyprus, in order to ascertain the observance and implementation of the decrees of the Law on Infection.
As a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated in KYPE, 543 checks were carried out in Nicosia, without any complaint, while in Limassol, 150 checks were carried out, without any complaint.
In Larnaca, 463 inspections were carried out, out of which 1 complaint of premises was made, in Paphos, 97 inspections were carried out, out of which 2 complaints of citizens were made, in Famagusta, 368 inspections were carried out and 3 citizens and 1 establishment were reported, while in Morfos area, 92 inspections were carried out, without to have any complaint.
Also, throughout Cyprus, the Traffic Police carried out 138 inspections, without any complaint, while out of the 1.860 inspections, 9 concerned ports - airports, without any complaint.
Answering a question, the representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters said that the majority of the complaints to citizens concerned the non-use of a protective mask.
Asked about the complaints of the premises, he stated that at the premises in Larnaca, an inspection revealed that the person in charge was without Safepass and an extrajudicial € 1.000 was issued, while at the premises in Famagusta, which belonged to a music and dance center, an inspection revealed that it had more guests. square meters and an out-of-court settlement of € 8.000 was issued.
