The popular poet and President of the All-Cypriot Association of Popular Poets and Friends of Poetry, Antonis Katsantonis, passed away on Wednesday morning at the age of 82, at the Paralimni Hospital, where he had been hospitalized for the last few days.
The funeral of the popular poet will be held next Friday, at 15:30, at the Holy Church of All Saints in Deryneia's hometown.
As stated in a press release issued by the Larnaca House of Letters and Arts and the Cultural Movement of Larnaca "Friends of Literature and Culture", the "5th On Speech and Art Synapandima" dedicated to Folk Poetry which was to take place on Thursday, is postponed due to the epidemic by Antonis Katsantonis.
