Loyal to the established annual appointment, motorcyclists and other members of the Isaac Solomou Memorial Initiative are once again celebrating this year, 23 years after August 1996, culminating in the events at the Deryneia roadblock. The course of the motorcyclists has already arrived at the event site.

Earlier, dozens of motorcyclists from all over Cyprus marched through phalanxes to reach the Deryneia roadblock.

Solomos Solomos' father, Spyros, and Tassos Isaac's mother are also present at the Deryneia roadblock.

Tasos Isaac's daughter Anastasia, who has been a member of the Isaac-Solomou Memorial Initiative in recent years and is following in the footsteps of motorcyclists, addressed the event.

Anastasia Isaac shared with the audience thoughts and feelings about the sacrifice of her father and Solomos Solomos in August 1996.

"We are closed in our ego, we digest the crimes, we simplify the facts, in order to reconcile with them. We are characterized by inaction. We accept and are indifferent to the constant crime against our country ", said among others Anastasia Isaac.

The killers are baptized "deputies" and "ministers". My father's killer brags about his seat in the pseudo-parliament. The killer of Solomos Solomos lives undisturbed in the occupied territories. "We are also opening the roadblocks of shame and we ask the international organizations to protect us", he stressed, reminding that the Interpol warrant has been on the shelves for 23 years. "I wonder how long we will wait for justice."

"Twenty-three annual memorials and yet every year we also commemorate justice. And I really wonder: If my father and Solakis died today, would they be considered heroes or would they be accused of chauvinism? Would anyone shout about their sacrifice or would they be accused of spoiling the good atmosphere? " he said.

He also said, "They were disturbed by three meters of land and issued an order because we placed a cross in their memory, but the many Turkish-occupied villages, 37% of our occupied land, did not bother them."
