Pupils of the XNUMXnd Elementary School of Deryneia planted a total of fifty trees with the help of their teachers, sending a strong message for the protection of the environment. The tree planting took place on Michalaki Karaoli Street in Deryneia (opposite the Municipal Amphitheater).
The tree planting event was organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Deryneia, the Parents' Association and the staff of the Primary School of Deryneia B, in the context of the celebrations for its 50 years of operation (school years 1969-1970 to 2019-2020).
The Mayor of Deryneia, Andros Karagiannis, attended the tree planting event and gave the children his own advice to avoid environmental pollution.
The President of the Association of Parents of Deryneia B, Stelios Vardakis, was also present at the tree planting event.
