Delegation of the Municipality of Famagusta headed by the Mayor of Famagusta Dr. Simos Ioannou, the head of the Municipal Alarm Team Mr. Kostakis Hatzikakou, the head of the AKEL Municipal Team Mr. George Beros, the representative of DIKO Mr. George Tsisios and the Municipal Secretary Mrs. Marilena Manolis had a meeting today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs briefed the members of the delegation on the current developments in the Cyprus issue and the preparation of the Greek Cypriot side in relation to the talks, the course of the Cyprus issue and more specifically on Famagusta.
The manipulations of the continuous provocative actions of Turkey and its inhabitants in Cyprus regarding the latest illegal developments in Famagusta were discussed.
The two sides discussed and exchanged views on the preparation of a joint action plan to prevent what has been done on the island.
The Municipality of Famagusta will immediately inform its citizens about the upcoming joint or individual actions in consultation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
