The process of shaping and approving the AKEL ballots for the upcoming parliamentary elections was completed today. This process is determined by the Articles of Association and the Rules of Procedure of the Party and lasted about two months.
The process started from the base of the Party, giving the opportunity to its members and friends of AKEL to nominate candidates. The District Committees by secret ballot formulated their proposal for the ballot of the respective province.
The process continued by secret ballot in District Conferences in which about two thousand party members participated. For this purpose, 16 polling stations were set up throughout Cyprus.
At today's session of the Central Committee, the provincial ballot papers were discussed and ratified (the ballot papers are attached in alphabetical order).
