Famagusta: Eight complaints about unnecessary travel

A total of 87 complaints from drivers and pedestrians were made in Cyprus, from 18:00 yesterday until 6 this morning, by the Police, for violation of the Government decree in relation to the prohibition of unnecessary traffic, a representative of the Police Press Office told KYPE ,

He noted that the allegations were the result of 4.733 checks on the implementation of the decree carried out by the Cypriot police.

Specifically, with regard to drivers and pedestrians, the following complaints arose:

  • Nicosia: 1.371 checks and 34 complaints
  • Limassol: 682 checks and 28 complaints
  • Paphos: 1.091 inspections and 8 complaints
  • Famagusta: 287 checks and 8 complaints
  • Larnaca: 664 checks and 4 complaints
  • Morphou Region: 176 inspections and 1 complaint.

In addition, 414 inspections were carried out by the Traffic Headquarters, which made 3 complaints, and 48 inspections by the MMAD, with one complaint.

He also stated that from the inspections of the premises from 18:00 yesterday until 6 in the morning today, 807 inspections were carried out and there was one complaint.
