The Municipal and Community Youth of the Free Province of Famagusta in an effort to cooperate decided that their first common action is to visit the occupied Famagusta since this year marks 50 years since the occupation of the city. The visit took place on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
The goal, as stated in a related post on social media, is to preserve historical memory.
In this effort, as mentioned in the post, the members had the opportunity to get to know each other, to hear stories both from third parties and from Mr. Christodoulos Pitsiris who conducted the tour.
On this excursion were the youth councils of Paralimni, Agia Napa, Sotiras, Liopetriou, Achnas and Avgorou.
