With deep sadness, the family of Elias Kouloumis bids farewell to a beloved member who surrounded with love, both his family and the musical tradition of Cyprus. The family in an announcement states:
Elias Kouloumis, our father and teacher, passed away last night at the Famagusta Hospital after a long and unequal battle with cancer.
His funeral will take place at the Church of the Archangel Michael in Frenaros at 16:00. The family will receive condolences at the church from 14:30.
