A new modern and autonomous lighting system was installed on the pedestrian and bicycle path of Fotis Pitta Avenue in Frenaros.
The lighting system is powered by solar energy and provides lighting in the evening on the pedestrian and bicycle path that connects the Community Council building with the Lyceum and High School of Kokkinochorion, a road that is used by many pedestrians for training and was a timeless request.
The Community Council of Frenaros through its announcement thanks both the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Mr. Giannis Karousos and his Ministry for the sponsorship to cover the lighting costs of Fotis Pittas Avenue and the bicycle-pedestrian street from the Community Council to Kokkinochorion High School of Panos Ioannou.
He also expresses his gratitude to the District Administration for the technical and other support for the implementation of the project.
The lighting of this Avenue, which is used daily by many citizens for sports, is expected to increase the feeling of security and contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the residents of the community.
The lighting with autonomous photovoltaic systems of Foti Pitta Avenue as well as the roundabout on the road Frenarous - Sotiras to Agia Thekla and the imminent inclusion of the community in the recycling program of Green Dot Cyprus are among a series of targeted actions of the Community Council for a greener and environmentally friendly community.
