The candidate for the Presidency of the Provincial Self-Governing Organization of Famagusta, Yiannis Karousos, is taking the initiative to organize a unique and meaningful public debate with his opponents.
The aim of the proposal is to inform citizens about the positions of the candidates, in an efficient, productive way and with the possibility of public participation.
The proposal of Mr. Karousos specifically concerns the organization of a debate, in the presence of all Cypriot television channels, local media and organized groups, while the whole process will be broadcast online with live streaming.
According to Mr. Karousos: "The debates between the candidates must be as efficient, meaningful and productive as possible, while the participation of citizens is necessary to be able to form an opinion and receive direct answers."
At the same time, the candidate emphasizes that the event should take place in Famagusta, giving the opportunity to all the candidates in the province to analyze their vision and programmatic positions.
Finally, Yiannis Karousos mentions that he will soon proceed to send his proposal to his opponents and the media to set a meeting with the staffs, so that they can reach an agreement on the procedure and time of the debate.
