A new unprecedented case of entry of illegal immigrants took place today in the province of Famagusta.
Specifically, according to his exclusive information Famagusta.News, members of the Barracks of the 7th Motorized Infantry Brigade located around 14:45 at noon on Tuesday, April 20, three illegal immigrants wandering outside the "Modestos Pantelis" camp.
Both the Army Guards and the soldiers at the gate of the camp approached them and when they found out that they might be illegally in the territory of the Republic, they called the Police.
Members of the Xylofagos Police Station went to the camp and led the three Syrian illegal immigrants to record information, while later they are expected to be transferred to the "Pournara" Hospitality Center.
They "escaped" from a hotel kept in the occupied areas
According to his information Famagusta.News, they themselves seem to have reported to the Police that they were arrested and detained by the occupying authorities in a hotel in occupied Famagusta along with about twenty other, irregular Syrian immigrants. The three of them, according to what they claimed, managed to escape and pass on foot in the free areas through a point near the roadblock of Strovilia and without being noticed to reach Liopetri. Nevertheless, their allegations are being investigated by the Police.
