The Community Volunteer Council (SFC) of Liopetri is pleased to announce that it is in the early stages of the process of establishing a Day Center for People with Dementia.
Nowadays there are more and more frequent cases that have to do with Dementia. Sharing the difficulties and problems caused by this difficult social phenomenon, both in the individual and in his family environment, SKE Liopetri considered it necessary to create a Day Center that specializes in Dementia.
The vision of SKE Liopetri, as stated in a relevant press release, is the creation of a safe and at the same time specialized Day Care Center for People with Dementia for their employment for a few hours, as well as for the discharge of their families.
The Day Center will offer People with Dementia a better quality of life through its programs with the primary goal of their mental empowerment, as well as their employment through various specialized treatments.
At this stage, research is being conducted for a more complete picture of what has to do with the issue of Dementia and the needs that arise from it.
