The average age of hospitalized patients is 55 years, with the youngest being 25 years old and the oldest 85 years old ".

Answering a relevant question, Ms. Hatzigianni said that "only two of the patients have received the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19. As for the people who are hosted in the Eden Rehabilitation Center in Tersefanou, they amount to 107, which will remain until their complete negativity ".

Asked to explain the increase in positivity to 2,10% of cases in the free province of Famagusta, she said that "this is mainly due to the fact that we have entered the tourist season and both Cypriots and foreign tourists are accumulating in restaurants and nightclubs. At the same time, the Delta strain of the coronavirus has increased transmissibility, as a result of which it becomes easier for the virus to spread to younger ages ".

He added that "people felt oppressed because of the lockdown that had existed for quite some time, they were looking for and needed rest and rest to recover their psychology. "Everyone should enjoy their holidays, but this should be done safely, to themselves and their fellow human beings, observing the protection and hygiene measures and as much as possible there should be no overcrowding in places where there are crowds."

Ms. Hatzigianni appealed to the whole world "to listen and keep the announcements of the Ministry of Health and the scientists for faithful observance of the protection measures, ie mask, antiseptic and distances".

Regarding vaccinations against it Covid-19 He said that "the vaccination program is evolving smoothly and rapidly. "People began to respond to the State's calls for vaccination, closing their appointments and arriving on time to receive the vaccine that would return them to return to normalcy and daily life."
