"The body of the unfortunate guide was found in a field outside Paralimni while he suffered multiple injuries. Her killers literally cut her head in two with a shovel. The unfortunate girl received merciless blows with a shovel, stones and a plastic pipe. "With both hands she tried in vain to defend herself against these blows, which literally opened her head."

This was one of the descriptions that flooded the Cypriot headlines in September 1994. The tragic crime that had just been revealed shocked the small society of Cyprus. The reason: non-existent. Just three drunken Britons who wanted to "hit a woman", as they had stated to each other that fateful night of 16 September. This woman happened to be Louisa Jensen.

On the night of September 16, around 04:00 in the morning, a young waiter from Ayia Napa was riding his motorcycle. Destination, another friend's house. With him, the girl he was dating. A young Swede working on the island as a tour guide. They were both carefree. They could not imagine what was waiting for them that night.

Shortly after they started, they stopped at a gas station in the area. At the same gas station were parked three Britons, driving a yellow Mini Mook. The young waiter did not care. After filling the tank, the car started first and the motorcycle back. At one point the young man decided to overtake the car. Driver Justin Fowler went in the opposite direction of the road and hit the motorcycle. He took some steps and made a U-turn. The young driver thought they were coming back to help them, but he was wrong.

As soon as the three men got off, they approached the couple and without hesitation started hitting Louisa furiously, with a shovel. The frightened young man started running while he was being chased by the third passenger of the car. He finally managed to escape and hide in some bushes, from where in a state of shock he watched the horrible spectacle of his girlfriend's murder.

Although what he was living was unthinkable he found the strength to alert the police. Authorities, immediately mobilized, located the moving car of the killers. When asked to get off for a check-up, authorities noticed blood stains on their clothes and I saw a shovel in the back of the car.

The men confessed directly, while Justin Fuller, who had recently beaten Loisa violently, was willing to help the authorities, showing them that they had buried her lifeless body. Instead, he pointed to various locations and told them, "I think that's kind of where we buried her."

The three men did not communicate much. They had gone for a walk that night and after changing various bars, they ended up drunk in their car. From the beginning of the night, Jeff Pernell had stated "tonight I will hit a woman!".

A few days later and after it was impossible for the three British soldiers to show that they had buried Louise's body, a local farmer noticed the hand of the dead woman standing out. He immediately notified the authorities. It was Louise's body that the three killers had buried as well.

The tragic woman was half-naked and deformed. "Do not expect to recognize the Danish guide by her face," medical examiner Marios Matsakis told her young friend.
