This was followed by a procession to the graves of the dead in Paralimni cemetery in the presence of, among others, motorcyclists of the "Isaac and Solomos Memorial Initiative" who had started a trek along the dead zone on Friday, and ended up in Paralimni cemetery.

Their course this year has the motto "Why memory gives hope" and according to the organizers, about 1200 motorcyclists participated in it. Wreaths were laid at the tombs of the heroic martyrs.

Tassos Isaac's motorcycle, which the members of the Initiative have renovated and maintained, was also transported to the Paralimni cemetery and the roadblock of Deryneia.

In the face of this historic motorcycle, Andreas Pettemeridis of the "Isaac-Solomou Memorial Initiative" told reporters: two heroes ". Instead, Mr. Petemeridis added, we see a roadblock to "control Cypriot citizens to move freely in their own place." "For us motorcyclists, freedom stops where we need to show our identity."

Mr. Petemeridis used in his expressions allegorical symbolism, which focused on the motorcycle: "We return to our occupied territories only with our motorcycles and the freedom that comes from the engine, for a fight against the occupation, loaded in our luggage and the values of our grandfathers and having our motorcycles as a cog in this race, we will fight in every way against oblivion, because the memory is the one that will give birth to hope ".

Asked by a journalist about the feelings of motorcyclists, whether the roadblock of Deryneia is open next year during the course that will be organized, Mr. Petemeridis said that "We will definitely handle it differently if the roadblock is open next year".

Mr. Petemeridis referred to the symbolic closing of roadblocks made by motorcyclists in the previous days in the course they followed throughout Cyprus, along the line of confrontation. "For us, this roadblock is very special, because of the sacrifice of the two heroes, and because of the name of the Isaac Solomou Memorial Initiative, we must attend this place with dignity and we should not close it symbolically for a while. but for much more. "

Concluding, Mr. Petemeridis referred to the motorcyclists, whose volume is growing every year and this year they have reached 1200. "Realizing the purity of the effort, motorcyclists, far from political expediencies, are multiplying every year," concluded Mr. Petemeridis.

After the trisagion at the tombs of the two heroes, about one thousand two hundred motorcyclists went to the roadblock of Deryneia, where they looked from afar at the site of the sacrifice of Tassos Isaac and Solomos Solomos. Solomos Solomos Spyros, the father of Solomos, also laid a wreath at the barbed wire of the Deryneia roadblock, inside the dead zone.
