The 28-year-old Syros was arrested yesterday by the Police, in the context of the investigation of the case of the arrival of 120 informal immigrants on 20/11/2019 in Paralimni.

The 28-year-old was inside the boat which was found last Wednesday sailing unmanned off Cape Greco.
Specifically, around 2.20 on the afternoon of November 20, 2019, a boat was spotted off Cape Greco in which, as it was found after examinations, 120 informal migrants were aboard.

The boat in question had been escorted by the Port and Maritime Police to the fishing shelter of Paralimni, where the competent services had taken over for further.
