The Municipality of Paralimni has successfully completed the European WiFi4EU program, in collaboration with the company COSMOS WIRELESS. The project is part of the Connecting Europe (CEF) Facility, which supports the development of high-performance, sustainable and effectively interconnected networks in the fields of transport, energy and digital services.
The free WiFi4EU network has been installed in 5 points of the Municipality:
• in the municipal square of Mitropoleos in the city center
• in the gym
• in the municipal swimming pool
• in the square "Lefkolla" in Protaras
• at the municipal stadium "Tassos Markou"
• in the tennis courts at the sports center
Citizens can join the internet completely free of charge, without the use of passwords. The Municipality will expand the services to other public places, such as "Melizona" square in Protaras, the Municipal Amphitheater, the Traditional House.
