The Youth of the Municipality of Paralimni shows once again its sensitive ecological side with the campaign against plastic, which has started on Monday, April 1, 2019.
The members of the council, having set as a goal the reduction of the use of plastic and paper single-use cups, and with the cooperation of the Environmental Awareness Committee promote simple practices, so that the citizens of our province and especially the young, connect with the earth. and become part of the change.
As part of the campaign, they are urging young people to always have their own coffee cup with them, helping to reduce the consumption of plastic and paper cups in cafes and elsewhere.
Working in this direction, they came to an agreement with cafes in Paralimni, which offer a 10% discount to those who go with their own plastic or glass glass instead of using conventional - plastic and paper single-use cups. The campaign will run for two weeks. "Together we can cultivate an environmental awareness in our fellow citizens, but also in ourselves," said the youth members.
