Theatrical Performance in the context of the 30th Pancyprian School Theater Games is staged by the students and teachers of the Lyceum of Kokkinochorion Fotis Pitta with a charitable character.
Specifically, on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at 8 pm, in the event hall of the XNUMXrd Primary School of Paralimni, the theatrical performance "A hat full of rain" by Michael Gacho will be staged.

Johnny is addicted to morphine because of an old wound from the Korean War. The arrival of their long-estranged mother will further complicate matters and lead to a dramatic climax. In a family whose members are unable to communicate and admit their mistakes, the drug storm comes to sweep the lives of all persons.

It is every soldier who sees his life turned thousands of kilometers away from his home, to which he returns mentally and physically injured. The physical wounds heal, but the mental ones remain, because they are deeper. Michael Gacho (1923-1995) was an American playwright and actor. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Frank Pentangeli in The Godfather II (1974). He was also distinguished as a teacher of acting and drama. The social drama, A Hat Full of Rain, premiered on Broadway in 1995, receiving rave reviews. Some years later, the play was turned into a film that triumphed cinematically.
