On Wednesday, February 26, 2019, the XNUMXth In-School Student Conference of Paralimni High School was held with great success with the general theme: "We bring to life memories and experiences: A walk in the occupied land through our lens".
The Conference was held under the auspices of the Metropolitan of Constantia-Famagusta Mr. Vassilios and the main speaker was the Mayor of Akanthos Mr. Eleni Hatzimichael on "The Golden Savior of Akanthos in the life and ethos of the people of Akanthos and beyond". The guests were welcomed by Mrs. Nikoleta Loizou-Chatzirakleous, NW. by assignment, on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Conference. Greetings followed from the Director of the School Mr. Kyriakos Panagiotou and the Elder Heraklion Xiouros on behalf of the Metropolitan of Constantia - Famagusta.
The students of the DG class departments with their responsible teachers worked on their own parameter which they presented in the plenary session of the conference.
The topics that occupied the students were:

- "Famagusta Sports - A course in time" C1 / Responsible teacher: Mr. Astero Hatzoudi,
- “Famagusta” poem C7 / Responsible teacher: Mrs. Eleni Panagiotopoulou,
- "Lapithos: Touches of the beauties of nature and its people" C8 / Responsible teacher: Mrs. Ioanna Tsimouri,
- “Ancient Lampousa” C6 / Responsible teachers Mrs. Maro Nikolaou, Mrs. Elena Hatzilouka,
- “The trapped of Cyprus” C2 / Responsible teacher: Mrs. Zacharoula Kirgia,
- “Voice of the Fatherland” C4 / Responsible teacher: Mrs. Eleni Dimopoulou.
The works of the conference were decorated with an artistic event which was taught by Mrs. Maria Sotiriou - Isaac and Themis Giorgallas as well as songs from the musical group of the school under the guidance of Mr. George Karvellos. The signs were edited by third grade students inspired by our occupied land, under the supervision of teachers Kalliopis Mikrasiatis, Christina Melifronidou, Kaitis Petrou. In closing, the findings were announced by the Conference Secretariat and the Director announced its end.
