The students of Paralimni High School as Active and Responsible citizens
On November 16, 2021, the students with Immigration Biography of Paralimni High School, together with the responsible teachers of their departments, carried out two activities within the framework of the volunteering week and the "CYPRUS CLEANLINESS" program. The first concerned the cleaning of the coastal sidewalk in Protaras and the second aimed at informing the children about the operation of a hotel.
More specifically, in the context of the environmental actions, set by the Ministry of Education and Science as one of the emphasized goals of the school year 2021 - 2022, the children of the Immigration Biography together with their accompanying teachers went to the pedestrian street Paralimni - Protaras. They collected garbage and placed it in large bags, but also in recycling bins that were in abundance in the area. They were informed by the teachers about the importance of recycling but also about the need to protect the environment due to climate change.
Then, they ended up in a well-known hotel and there, after being offered a treat, they were informed by the hotel manager about the services it provides and about the various parts of the hotel. The children also had the opportunity to listen to two of their compatriot employees, who used to attend their school. The employees were students of the Greek language learning program at Paralimni High School. They discussed with the students the importance of learning Greek and answered questions.
