The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson welcomed the decision of the Famagusta District Court regarding the case of the 19-year-old British woman, who, according to the 7-page decision, falsely testified that she was gang-raped.
A spokesman for Boris Johnson said the prime minister welcomed the suspension (four months in prison with a three-year suspension), promising that Britain would work with Cyprus and other countries to prevent a recurrence.
It is recalled that the Famagusta District Court today submitted a four-month prison sentence with a three-year suspension and 140 euros in court costs to the 19-year-old Brit, whose defense will appeal to the Supreme Court.
