Around 6.10 on Sunday afternoon, a 44-year-old man, while driving his vehicle on Megalou Alexandrou Street in Paralimni, under conditions under investigation, entered the right-hand lane and collided with two vehicles, driven by a 41-year-old and a 25-year-old.
The 44-year-old and the 25-year-old were injured and transported to the General Hospital of Famagusta, where the 25-year-old received first aid and was fired, while the 44-year-old was detained for further treatment. His state of health is judged by the treating doctors as out of danger.
All the drivers involved underwent a preliminary alcohol test, with zero indication for the 41-year-old and 25-year-old, while the 44-year-old, after being positive, underwent a final alcohol test with an indication of 131μg℅ instead of 22μg℅, which is the legal limit.
The Famagusta Traffic Police continues the examinations.
