The Famagusta Land Registry has been put on alert after the first confirmed case was detected last Saturday.

According to information from Famagusta.News, with the location of the case belonging to the staff of the Department of Lands and Surveys on the 1st of April Avenue in Paralimni, the necessary procedures for disinfection of the area were carried out. A total of 30 of the approximately 60 employees of the Department, who were in the same working environment as the person who was infected, were placed in a self-restraint circular until April 10 to expire the fourteen-day period, while they were instructed to contact with their personal physician in case of any symptoms.

At the same time, as Famagusta.News is informed, procedures for revoking licenses by other employees have started, as well as finding staff from other cities.

Nevertheless, according to the information that reached Famagusta.News, the cases within the Land Registry rose until late last night at four, increasing the anxiety of the employees, while on the other hand, a new circular was sent, calling on the employees who are under self-restraint to show up for work tomorrow Thursday. About five other officials are also reportedly awaiting results from the Institute of Neurology and Genetics.

Therefore, the employees of the Department of Urban Planning and Housing, who amount to approximately sixteen and who co-exist with the Department of Lands and Surveys, seem to have similar concerns.

It is pointed out that a large number of people usually go to the Land Registry Department to be served, while a number of files and correspondence are transferred inside and outside, both by citizens and by other public services and local authorities.
