The response of the Welfare Office as well as other government departments and charities, which contacted us from the first moment, asked for help, was worth noting.

Nevertheless, due to the special case, it was first necessary to find a non-profit organization that would undertake the collection of basic necessities or financial contributions.

A specific charity of the province of Famagusta was immediately interested in the case, which undertook the temporary hosting of the woman and the child, which through its announcement, undertook to find an apartment near Frenaros (Sotira, Deryneia). If you know there is something available you can contact 99254475.

At the same time, the response of the Holy Metropolis of Constantia-Famagusta was immediate and it was decided that for basic necessities, toys for the child and clothes, a collection will be made at the Social Grocery of the Diocese in Paralimni. For more information, the public can contact the Office of Spiritual Ministry of the Holy Diocese of Constantia-Famagusta at 23812456.

Also, financial contributions will start from the Christian Association on the initiative, again of the Holy Metropolis of Constantia of Famagusta: Christian Association of Women of the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios Paralimni. It is worth noting that from the first moment a specific political party was interested in helping the woman and the child through its MP in the province of Famagusta, but the charitable help was requested to be done anonymously.

The drama of a young mother in Paralimni and her 5-year-old daughter

It is recalled that the young mother's story begins in 2010, when she began living with the father of her child. After accepting, according to the abuse itself, both she and her child, who now acquired phobias, she decided after fights to be left alone with her child. Earlier, she tried once again to leave her partner and father of her child, but as she reports, she received threats. So she took her 5-year-old child and left her house, as a result of which she lives elsewhere, where she is forced to pay rent.

Four months ago he underwent a simple surgery in which doctors discovered lymph node cancer. After treatments he managed to beat the cancer, but today he continues the treatments, during which he can not work.

Her little daughter, due to the frequent scenes of domestic violence, developed phobias and anxiety, as a result of which she often feels unbearable abdominal pains and is forced to go to clinics for examinations.

As a result, today the young mother is unable to pay the rent of her house, her daughter's kindergarten, the doctors whom her young child is forced to visit, her house or her food.

The FamagustaNews editorial team knows this mother personally and makes superhuman efforts to support her in every way. When asked if she has any basic money, she showed us her account which has only some money inside! She was also asked if the child wants toys to be bought for her and the answer: “She does not have toys, but it does not matter, she does not need them. Only food and to be able to pay the rent ".

Please note that Famagusta.News does not conduct or is allowed to conduct fundraising. But knowing the case of the young mother and the little girl, we publish the story, so that those who wish can contact her directly and support her in any way.
