A 27-year-old man was detained today by the Famagusta District Court for possession of weapons and drugs.

The arrest of the 27-year-old was the result of a testimony obtained by the Police, after the arrest last Thursday of two suspects, 27 and 23 years old from Nicosia, who are in custody. A loaded pistol, two cartridges, a quantity of cannabis and six mobile phones were found in the house of the two suspects. The police investigation had been carried out in the presence of the Commonwealth of Paralimni and from the residence used by the two suspects, a computer was confiscated, among others.
During the police investigations, a testimony was obtained against the 27-year-old from Deryneia, who was taken to the Famagusta District Court in the morning and was detained for six days. He is being investigated for offenses related to illegal possession of a BD firearm and explosives and illegal possession of a controlled drug of class BD, offenses committed on April 5, 2018 in Paralimni.
LENKA JURASOVA, 32, from Slovakia, is wanted in the same case, against whom an arrest warrant is pending. In an announcement, the Cyprus Police invites anyone who knows anything that can help to locate it, to contact directly the Famagusta Police Department, at 23803040 or the nearest Police Station or the Citizen's Line at 1460.
