The rain caused significant damage to the road network of Protaras and mainly to the area of Pernera.

The mayor of Paralimni pointed out that: "The damage that has been caused to the road is at the points that would have been removed anyway for the construction of the project and for the construction of the new culverts, so there is no damage to the public or to any other body."
