PROTARAS: They run to catch up for the beaches (VIDEO)

The Municipality of Paralimni is running to prevent the restoration of the coastal front before the start of the new tourist season.

Last December's disaster left great damage, especially on the beach "Kalamies", with the result that the local authority is carrying out repair work. The District of Famagusta clarifies that despite the complaints that have been made about illegal interventions, all work is done in consultation with the District Administration.

The Prefect of Famagusta, George Chrysafinis, stated that:

"Approval has been given to the Municipality of Paralimni to restore the beach as in the previous situation. The issue is being monitored by the guard of the beach of the District Administration and so far, at least, despite the fact that some complaints have been made, so far there has been no reason for the provincial administration to intervene. In fact, I want to note that the crew of the Municipality accepts and implements the suggestions made to it on a case by case basis ”.

In a communication between Sigma and the Mayor of Paralimni, he stated that all the work is being done to repair the damage caused by the flood on December 5 and the Municipality is in full consultation with the Famagusta District Administration.
