A complaint for an operation on the picturesque beach of Konnos on the border of Ayia Napa-Paralimni with the use of a bulldozer was made by the representative of the Initiative for the Rescue of Natural Coasts, Kleitos Papastylianou. In the photo that has been circulating on social media for the last few hours, a bulldozer is seen pulling sand from the sea.
Nevertheless, according to confirmed information from the Municipality of Paralimni, similar works are carried out every year to return the sand to the state it was before the descent of rainwater that alters the natural landscape, without any reason to worry about intervention in the natural landscape.
