Octomicrobrewery managed to brew beer with Cypriot wine Xinisteri. Cyprus Grape Ale as the label of the new drink made by Sotira Brewery is based on the Italian recipe Grape Ale which was implemented by the brewmaster of the micro brewery Michel Cartaino, who comes from Italy and has worked as a brewmaster in Europe here and decades. In fact, according to the owner of the brewery, Taras Lozhenko, the uniqueness that characterizes the Cypriot Grape Ale is not only that it combines beer and beer malt, but for the first time manages to combine wild grape yeast with brewer's yeast. The result is a unique drink with a taste that captivates the palate, as it combines the sweetness and sourness left by the Cypriot wine xinisteri, together with the unique taste of beer.

In fact, in order for the microbrewery to realize its vision, it collaborated with one of the most famous Cypriot wineries, Agia Mavri. The reason that xinisteri was chosen is because it is the most important Cypriot variety.

Exports to Germany

Most important for Octomicrobrewery's Grape Ale is the close collaboration with Lahnsteiner Brauerei brewery which has 300 years of history and with the brewer Markus Fore who is today the tenth generation of brewers of Lahnsteiner Brauerei brewery and is one of the top five sommeliers in Europe. This important collaboration led to the sending of the first 1.730 bottles of Grape Ale directly to Germany as soon as they were bottled, while advertising our country and the Cypriot beer abroad!
