Continuous interest is recorded for tourist developments in the coastal area of Sotira Famagusta. The beginning was made with the joint tourism project Sun City which is in an advanced stage of completion and is implemented by the consortium Jimchang Cyprus Developing Company Ltd.
Furthermore, plans to build a five-star hotel that will include a separate Health Center are being made by an Israeli investor for a nearby plot of land. It is essentially a property in the tourist area, coastal near Agia Thekla, and which was purchased in 2017 by the Bank of Cyprus, for about 11 million.
According to information from Insider, the plans on the table speak of a five-star hotel, which will include a separate place with luxury villas. The special part of the plans is that it includes its own Health Center.
It is emphasized that the plans are still under discussion and the whole project is expected to be assured in 2019.
The area of Sotira presents intense development activity, as the aforementioned project is not the only case discussed. According to information, there are two more plans for the creation of luxury real estate. One is designed by an Israeli interest company, a different investor from the above case - with plans in the early stages. In the second case, the process is in the phase of buying and selling land.
