Another young fellow villager passed away. George Kyriakou of Charalambos and Nitsa (Triarch), lost his life after a car accident just before 10 last night. Just last April 23rd, he turned 44 χρόνια The funeral will take place the day after Friday, July 9th. Exact time and more details will be posted later. My sincere condolences to the whole family of George's friend. May God give strength and courage to the family

The family of Olympus mourns the unfortunate loss of our beloved George Kyriakos (Trilli), after a tragic accident last night.
George, served from all positions his favorite team, as a footballer, captain, member of the Board but also voluntarily offering his efforts in all phases of upgrading and maintenance of our stadium facilities.
The Board of our team, as a minimum sign of appreciation and gratitude, decided that the funeral expenses be made at the expense of our association.
Details of the funeral will be announced later.

The chronicle of the deadly car accident
The fatal traffic accident occurred on the road Liopetriou - Xylofagou.
Specifically, according to information, around 9 last night, under conditions that are being investigated, two motorcycles, one large and one moped, seem to have collided with each other.
The moped was immobilized on the iron railings of the road, while the second one traveled about two hundred meters from the point of collision and tore down the concrete wall of an adjacent gas station.
The two motorcyclists were taken to the Famagusta General Hospital by ambulance. The health condition of the moped driver is reportedly out of danger, while the driver of the large-capacity motorcycle lost his life instantly.
Authorities are collecting evidence and testimonies from the scene, in order to clarify the causes of the new car accident.
