A contract was signed for the installation of an irrigation pipeline in Agia Varvaras and Sotira Streets

A project that will contribute to reducing the surplus of recycled water produced at the Wastewater Treatment Plant

Signed yesterday, Thursday, February 29, 2024, by the President of the Ayia Napa Sewerage Board (S.A.A.N), Mayor Mr. Christos Zannettos and the Managing Director of the Company "LL Earthworks Contractors Ltd" Mr. Lambros Lambrou , in the presence of the Mayor of Sotiras, Mr. Giorgos Ttakkas, the contract for the installation of an irrigation pipeline on Agia Varvaras Street and in areas of the Municipality of Sotiras.

In his statements, the President of S.A.A.N, Mayor of Agia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannettos, stated that with the completion of the above project, lands in the area of ​​Agia Varvara and areas of the Municipality of Sotiras will be irrigated to meet agricultural and other needs.

"The use of recycled water" added Mr. Zannettou, "will contribute to the reduction of the surplus of recycled tertiary treated water produced by the sewage treatment plant, its unnecessary waste and also to the enrichment of the greenery of our city".

Mr. Zannettou mentioned that it is a project that will contribute to reducing the surplus of recycled water produced at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

According to the contract, the duration of the project is three months and its cost amounts to €260.000,00 including VAT.
