The announcement of the new deputies for the province of Famagusta for the first distribution of seats, ie for the four seats of DISY and the three seats of AKEL, took place today at 12 noon at the Cultural Center of Occupied Famagusta in Deryneia.
The deputies were appointed by the Election Commissioner of the province, Prefect of Famagusta, Mr. Andros Ktoridis, based on the provisions of the electoral law.

Victory of the Democratic Alarm in the province of Famagusta gave the results of the Parliamentary Elections with a loss for the major parties (DISY, AKEL and DIKO) and the second party to emerge… abstention with a high percentage of 32,68%. AKEL suffered big losses with a 6,2% reduction, DISY. with a loss of 2%, big losses were accepted by EDEK with 1,7% and DI.KO with 0,9%.
