Ayia Napa: 12 Scandinavian Tourism Ambassadors were honored

Twelve Scandinavian tourists were recently honored by the Municipality of Ayia Napa in the context of rewarding its regular visitors as "Ambassadors of Tourism".

According to the announcement of the Municipality, the Norwegians Bjorn and Anne Marie Lien (20 visits), Henning Harsvik (25 visits), Martha Nilsen (25 visits), Gunnar and Reidun Trones (22 visits), Paul and Alfihild Danielsen (22 visits) were honored ), Jan and Svanhild Rasmussen (31 visits) and the Swedes Kerstin Danieli (22 visits) and Britt Engman (23 visits).

The honorary plaques as well as the emblem of the "Ambassador of Tourism of Ayia Napa" were awarded by the newly elected Municipal Councilor and Chairman of the Tourism Committee of our Municipality Mr. Antonis Christou, who on behalf of the Mayor Mr. Giannis Karousos and the Municipal Council thanked honored for their frequent visits to Ayia Napa for many years.

Addressing the Scandinavian travelers, Mr. Christou stressed the following: "Through your regular visits, it proves in a very practical way, not only the special love you have for our city but that it is an absolutely remarkable tourist destination that deserves someone to visit. "As a minimum sign of appreciation for your faces, our Municipality has chosen to honor you with the highest distinction, that of the Ambassador of Tourism of our city."
