Money, which exceeds 160 thousand euros that was in the safe of a fur shop in Paralimni, was seized yesterday, Saturday, by two hooded men under the threat of a shotgun, after first tying the employee, according to the Police.

In a statement, the spokesman of the Famagusta Police Department, George Oikonomou, stated that "around 08:20 on Saturday morning, while an employee of a fur shop, located on the road Paralimni - Deryneia, was in the store and was preparing to open, they entered two people whose faces were covered with hoods. From one of the bags he was holding, one of them pulled out a short-barreled shotgun and with threats, blows and pushes, after tying the employee, they led him to a staircase that leads to the basement of the store. "Afterwards, the two hooded men snatched a large amount of money from a small safe that was in the store."

He added that according to the owner of the store, "the safe contained 130-140 thousand euros, around 12-13 thousand US dollars and rubles, which correspond to about six thousand euros. According to the owner, the amounts that were kept in the safe are not covered by any insurance ".

The complaint was made to the Police around 9 in the morning by the employee of the store and immediately members of the Famagusta Police Department and the criminological service went to the scene and began investigations to locate evidence that may lead to the identity of the unknown.

The complainant was taken to the offices of TAE Famagusta and gave a statement in order to obtain as much information as possible, which may lead to the investigation of the case.
